Turnitin

Turnitin

Turnitin is an originality checking software that is integrated into the VLE and managed by the Learning Enhancement Team. Written assignments can be uploaded to Turnitin, which compares the documents with the world’s largest comparison database to check for plagiarism from published sources and other students’ work. Academic departments can use Turnitin to check student work, but as part of the university’s Academic Integrity offering, students can also attend Turnitin workshops to be taught how to use Turnitin effectively to check their own work. It is essential that students attend these workshops before being given access to Turnitin.
