Here’s a quick update about our team working hours over the December holiday period, along with links to helpful self-help materials that we have online. We strongly request that any urgent January training and support issues/requests are communicated to us by Friday 18th December at the latest to ensure that we can guarantee our usual level of response.
Self Help Materials
With both the festive break and spring term in mind, we have generated the following materials to help both staff and students throughout December (but particularly during periods of limited PDLT support in the holidays):
- Staff: Staff – Online/Dual Delivery Teaching & Learning One Stop Shop – Contains information on building online content and activities, along with related information such as assessment set up, digital accessibility and general start of term readiness. We also have a more general “Staff: Teaching and Learning Technology Help” page.
- Students: Students: Teaching and Learning Technology Help – Contains information about, troubleshooting, usage and study/revision guidance in relation to our tool set (VLE, Panopto, etc).
All of these help pages (and more) are linked to from our central “Tech Help & Support” page on our website – A good page to bookmark!
Our team (the PDLT) will be providing support over the whole winter holiday period, but on a more limited rota than usual:
- W/C December 21st 2020: No phone support, just email support via firstname.lastname@example.org. Reduced team service covering office hours during this week. Office closed over weekend as normal.
- W/C December 28th 2020: No phone support, just email support via email@example.com. Team picking up urgent queries/requests only. Office closed December 31st and January 1st, plus the weekend as normal.
