Anonymous and delegated marking

The VLE’s assignment submission will support anonymous marking – the functionality has been developed in direct response to the needs of the UK Higher Education sector and could pave the way for this tool being used far more widely to support credit bearing sumative submissions. Markers have a range of options for marking and giving feedback on student work submitted through the VLE from completely online workflows to simply downloading everything and printing work off.

“Delegated marking” allows submissions to be divided up between multiple markers or work to be marked by two instructors without them being able to see each others comments and marks which would then be reconciled before release to students (blind double marking).

This functionality will be available following the upgrade, July 2014.
