Personal Capture offers a great way to simply and quickly make recordings at your desk. The programme will record audio, video and onscreen activity and will process and publish the recordings to the VLE or simply to a private link that you can share directly. When you create a recording the files are stored on your local computer and are then uploaded to the server for processing when you publish. If you move computers or simply want to create a backup of your recordings without publishing them then you will want to know where the raw recordings are stored. Accessing the raw recordings directly could also allow you to manually edit or publish a finished video without using replay.

To find out where your recordings are stored:

  1. Launch the Echo360 Personal Capture software and choose Go to My Recordings
  2. Choose Tools > Options (PC) or Echo360 Personal Capture > Preferences… (Mac)
  3. Recordings folder should be listed under the General tab (see illustration)
