FASTECH – case studies and resources on enhancing assessment and feedback with technology

FASTECH is a JISC funded project based at Bath Spa University and the University of Winchester. It is about transformation – of assessment processes on programmes of study, and of how institutions and systems frame student learning.

We’ll tell you about the nature of our research on multiple programmes within different disciplines; how, why and what technologies have been used – and to what effect. From these stories, you’ll be able to see what we and our students are learning, what can be done to make improvements, and how FASTECH is contributing to changing assessment policy and practice.”

There’s some good stuff there, reflecting many areas of practice here at York, including audio feedback, use of e-portfolios, formative feedback through the VLE, dialogic feedback through blogs discussion boards and other interactive tools. You can browse the site by tool or teaching approach and while some of the links take you round in circles there seems to be lots of good stuff in amongst it.
