Case study: Supporting module choices for pre-arrival students through the VLE

Many thanks to Carrie and Andi from the School of PEP (Politics, Economics and Philosophy) for their innovative and enabling use of the VLE to support students to make module choices through the VLE. The Welcome to the School site  was made available to students before they arrived and supported them to make their module choices before the start of term through an interactive information hub, communication channels to allow them to check details with existing students and staff and a tool for submitting their choices for collection by admin staff.

See below for a quick video guided tour of the site and you can read more about this and other ways that the e-learning has been used to support learning, teaching and admin through our “Inspiration” section within the Support areas of the Yorkshare VLE.
